One tip for the last week of the year
In about 10 days, we'll indulge in a cocktail of new year resolutions, reading lists, reflecting, and binge watching. I've found these days to be more overwhelming than the rest of the year. Here's what I plan to do this time around:
Observe.
I recommend you set time for observing the people around you. How they use products. What they speak about. How tech is infusing their lives. Or vice - versa.
You can't plan when the idea will find you.
Ideation happens when we are in a relaxed state. It also needs a bank of curiosities we have captured. That's where our observations come in handy.
Be like Jim Carrey in the movie Yes Man.
Going with the flow also helps to reach this state. You never know what you'll come across. Be open to what comes your way.
At the end of the day, briefly reflect upon what you experienced.
This activity of observing leads to being present in the moment. You will be relaxed and recharged to make progress towards your goals in the New Year.
That's it for today.
Happy Ideating!
